- Honor the pastor’s days off – no phone calls, emails, visits unless an absolute emergency
- Make sure that vacation time is honored, both by granting it and ensuring that the leadership needs are cared for while the pastor is away (no interruptions!)
- Support Sabbath rests/sabbaticals for pastors, and other leaders as well
- Notice and give value to your leaders’ hobbies and avocations
