Amazing mantle

2 Kings 2: 9-22


Question for reflection:
Whose mantle do you carry? What have they taught you about faith?

Prayer for the day:
Creating God,  you have called together your people through Israel, the prophets, and through your son Jesus Christ, and in your people you have brought into being a great cloud of witnesses. By our baptism we have joined the cloud, receiving the gifts of your people and have taken on the mantle of being Christ-like witnesses to the world. Embolden us in this season of Advent that we might proclaim with the confidence of your prophets the Good News of God with us. Amen

A Community of Love  Isaiah 44: 1-8

Prayer for the Day:
Almighty God, You know every hair on my head, every cell in my body, every thought in my head, and every pain of my human body. Thank you for creating me in your image, and helping me to find a place to belong within your family. Help me to not be afraid of proclaiming this to my friends, family, and the world around me for without you I would not be the person that I am today! Thanks be to God.

Question for reflection:
Take a minute and find a pen, write on your hand “God’s Property.” What does this mean to you?
