God of Surprises, who enters into our lives in unexpected ways and at unexpected times, help us to keep watch, not with fear and suspicion, but with hope and anticipation that something new is about to happen. Open us to the idea of expecting the unexpected from you. Keep us ever watchful for you in our lives and the world. Thank you, God, for coming to us. Amen
